FEASIBILITY OF H2 PRODUCTION BY ACID CORROSION USING H2SIF6 AND WASTE FE SOURCES

چکیده

This study investigated the feasibility of H2 production by acid corrosion, employing a by-product from fertilizer industry (Hexafluorsilic - H2SiF6) and waste iron sources. Different masses metal three different sources: powder (waste workshops), steel wool rebar (construction waste), were reacted with various proportions H2SiF6 HCl. The influence variables was evaluated factorial design, verifying greater for materials higher contact areas. lowest observed construction (rebar) probably due to presence protective films lower area. gas produced analyzed chromatography found consist only (up 99%) air. results indicate promising application H2SiF6, which is generated in large quantities during phosphate has few commercial applications. method proposed promising, it does not emit toxic or polluting gases, contributing sustainable generation H2.
